To help us help you quickly, tell us your device (for example "Fire TV Stick 4K" or "Apple TV 4K"), what you were doing, and what happened. A photo of the screen helps too.

How to play

  1. Look. A challenge appears on the TV, like "Find a sock".
  2. Find. Everyone searches the room for something that matches, and brings it back.
  3. Press OK. The first player back presses the center button on the remote.
  4. Skip. Can't find one? Press Right for a new challenge.

Before you start, put the remote at your meeting spot. That's the finish line!

Questions

Which difficulty should we choose?

Easy (about ages 3–5) shows a picture of exactly what to find. Medium (about ages 5–8) asks for colors, shapes and kinds of things. Hard (ages 8 and up) has thinking and creative challenges, where there's often no single right answer. Mixed takes turns between all three, which works well for a mix of ages.

What's the difference between Home and Classroom?

Choose Where on the New Game screen. Each setting only shows challenges that make sense there; for example, Classroom skips things like socks and toothbrushes. Some packs are made for one place: Kitchen Quest, Toy Box & Bedtime and Pretend Play & Dress-Up are home-only, and Classroom Hunt is classroom-only.

How does scoring work?

Turn on Keep score on the New Game screen and choose 2 to 8 players. You can rename players if you like; names stay on your TV. After each find, choose who found it. If the wrong person got the point, choose Correct round on the next screen. With scoring off, everyone hunts together as a team.

What is Full Access?

The Everyday pack is free. Full Access is a single, one-time purchase that unlocks every other pack: Kitchen Quest, Classroom Hunt, Toy Box & Bedtime, Holidays & Seasons, Letters & Numbers, Art & Music and Pretend Play & Dress-Up, plus packs we add later. There's no subscription.

I bought Full Access but packs are locked

Full Access belongs to the store account that bought it. Make sure your TV is signed in to that same Amazon or Apple account and connected to the internet, then restart Scavaro. If packs are still locked, email support@scavaro.com with your device and roughly when you bought it.

Can I get a refund?

Purchases are made through your app store, so refunds are handled by the store: the Amazon Appstore for Fire TV, or Apple for Apple TV. We're happy to help if something isn't working.

The narrator isn't talking

Check that Narration is on in Settings (or in the Pause menu) and that your TV volume is up. Scavaro uses your device's built-in voice, so on Fire TV make sure text-to-speech is available in your system settings. On Apple TV, narration isn't available yet; challenges are shown as text and pictures.

We stopped in the middle of a game

Scavaro pauses and saves automatically if you leave the app or the TV goes to sleep. Choose Resume Game on the home screen to carry on, with scores and progress kept.

Can we change the difficulty mid-game?

Yes. Press Back to pause, then choose Change challenges to switch the difficulty or where you're playing. Scores and progress are kept, and the change applies to the next challenge.

How do I erase saved games and names?

Go to Settings → Clear local data and press OK twice. This removes your settings, any saved game and player names from the TV. Scavaro never sends this information anywhere; see our Privacy Policy.

Tips for playing safely
  • Clear the play area and agree on off-limits rooms and items before you start.
  • Walk, don't run, and only carry things that are safe and light.
  • Follow the safety notes on some challenges, like "Ask a grown-up before opening the fridge."
  • Skip any challenge that doesn't suit your space or players.
Is Scavaro good for classrooms?

Yes. Choose Classroom under Where, and the How to Play screen adds classroom rules such as "Walk, don't run" and not opening other people's desks or bags. Scavaro collects no student data.
